Title2

The World of Time City

Windleaves

Windleaf Windleaves are the creatures living in the trunk of the Great Tree. They look like butterflies except that their wings are leaf shaped. They become alive after the Nightbells have died and turned into black blood. Each one of them represents a second that is fading away. They fly out of the trunk of the Great Tree every night and reach the statue to communicate with her. Windleaves can be considered as the ears and the memory of the Requiem because they are the only creatures able to talk to the statue and let her know what is going on in the real world.

Indeed while the Windleaves are being created they are listening to what is happening around the Great Tree of the Park as if they were feeling the mood of Time City and the vibrations of the time.

Tree The trunk of the Great Tree is hollow, completely dark and engraved with grooves. While the blood flows along the inside of the bark, the wings and body of the Windleaves starts to take shape. This process ends at night in the real world, but when the moon comes out, the haze rises up from the ground in the Requiem. It caresses the roots of the Great Tree who finally opens his heart and let the Windleaves dance with the winds in order to reach the Statue.
