The Citizens

The citizens of Time City, all ugly and mean, easily make fun of one another, especially to those who are different from them, those who are on the side of society. They like to consider themselves fat in their minds and in their hearts. Indeed they enjoy hurting people and they enjoy even more the feeling of being hurt. The easiest way to characterize their mind would be: light sadist and playful masochist. The result can sometimes be very funny. The Citizens are not insane or scary people. They are just stupid, not very civilized and somehow clumsy men and women. Sometimes they can behave like real monsters when in crowd movements, as if they were becoming completely heartless and brainless.

Time

On top of the town hall there is a large and beautifully crafted clock ringing only once a day at midnight. This clock is really old, rusty and dusty, but even if it looks rumbling from the outside, the inside components are mysteriously in perfect shape. The mechanism looks unaffected by time, as if it was brand new or constantly maintained. Time in the streets and the park of the town has a secret which is hidden and lies under the dreams of the citizens. It is a toy everyone enjoys but is also manipulated with.
